Top Ten Atheist Documentaries

You have seen my top ten list of atheist movies; here is my top ten list of atheist documentaries. Enjoy!

10)  The Blind Watch Maker (1987)

In this documentary by Richard Dawkins, based on his book by the same title, he explains how natural selection works and debunks irreducible complexity.

9) Letting Go of God (2008)

Julia Sweeney delivers a humorous monologue, detailing how her search for God lead her to aposticism.

8)  The Enemies of Reason (2007)

Here, Richard Dawkins explores and criticizes the world of alternative medicine.

Collision: Christopher Hitchens vs. Douglas Wilson (2009)

This documentary features authors Christopher Hitchens and Pastor Douglas Wilson on a debate-tour arguing against one another on the topic "Is religion good for the world?"

6) Jesus Camp (2006)

This documentary is about a Christian Summer camp. The documentary is widely known for portraying the psychological abuse directly associated with childhood indoctrination.

5) Religulous (2008)

Bill Maher criticizes world religions, focusing mostly on Christianity.

4) The God Who Wasn't There (2005)

In this documentary, Brian Flemming discusses early Christianity and raises doubt that Jesus Christ even ever existed.

3) The Tillman Story (2010)

Atheist Pat Tillman left a multi-million dollar NFL contract to serve in the United States  army. Mysteries surrounded his death and his family sought answers.

2) The Root of All Evil (2006)

Richard Dawkins attacks mainstream religion. The focal point of the document is Islam.
1) The Four Horsemen (2007)

The Four Horsemen is a riveting 2-hour conversation between the four horsemen of atheism: Richard Dawkins, the scientist; Sam Harris, the scholar; Daniel Dennette, the philosopher; and Christopher Hitchens, the rebel.
